Turning Interest Into Action

Her company thrived because she operated on themes of empowerment and

collaboration.  At first, she organized events centered around the profession she

knew – modeling.  Her hard work ethics and professionalism landed her as the Show

Director for Orlando’s Annual Black Expo for three years, and during that time she

was noticed by national promoters who hired KMP to market,

promote, and coordinate their events.

In 2007, McNair relocated to Atlanta, GA, and expanded the KMP brand.  She offered more services and developed a successful track record for producing special events while increasing her marketing and public relations skills.  Her first chance to showcase those skills came from an event for the City of Lovejoy.  She made the occasion such an outstanding success that the city awarded her a contract for special events, in 2009-2010.  That started a string of impressive special event accomplishments for KMP celebrity clients, non-profit organizations, and local governments.

In 2013, Dr. Kim established an annual conference connecting women who are entrepreneurs, small business owners, CEOs, executives, and community leaders.   She called the gathering the “Women on the MOVE Summit.”  2020 marks its seventh year.  This year’s theme urges participants to Collaborate. Connect and Create to build empires.”

The success of the summits motivated Dr. Kim to expand into a new arena in 2015, She produced a television program called “WOMEN ON THE MOVE, LIVE!” This platform was to give exposure to women in business, about business, and ready to do business.  It began airing on AIB-TV (Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasting), then expanded to ION-TV and WATC-TV Atlanta 57. She completed four successful seasons on live television.

Giving back to the community has always been an important part of Dr. Kim McNair’s life.  Her personal trials led her to establish the non-profit in 2015 called Business Women Empowerment Project, Inc. (B.W.E.P.)  The organization’s mission is to empower businesswomen to find access to resources to help build their businesses, brands, and themselves.  BWEP’s vision is to inspire a generation of businesswomen leaders to succeed in business.

The BWEP Leadership program for High School Girls, the goal is to help develop high school girls that may not have a path or clear direction on where and/or what they want to do after they graduate HS.  Our M.O.G.U.L. training session has four pillars and will help develop leadership skills, entrepreneur skills, life skills, and money management.
